How to Edit a Payment Method for a Donor

The benefit of editing a payment method is that if it is tied to a scheduled donation, you will not need to edit the schedule. 

  1. From the Welcome to CDM+ window, click on Donor Records. 



  2. In the Donor Records window, setup a find to search for the donor. Then, click to highlight their record and click on the Engage tab. 



  3. Click on the hamburger menu on the right-hand side. 




  4. From the right-hand side menu, click on Payment Methods. 



  5. Choose either Credit Cards or Bank Accounts depending on the type of payment method and then click on Edit next to the existing payment method. 
     


  6. On the next page, make the changes that you need and then click on Submit Changes. 

    Please note that you will only be able to edit a credit card if it is the same card type (ie Visa to a Visa). You will also need to enter in the full credit card number even if you just need to update the expiration date. 





  7. You'll see a pop-up asking you to confirm that you want to edit the payment account. Click on Ok. 




  8. You'll then see a pop-up message confirming the update was successful.
